A season of passage, shared between us, sparked a conversation.
A dialogue centered on re-placement, re-definition.
We sought to speak of all that we cherish yet which quietly suffocates, situations, persons, habits, fragments of ourselves that must be shed, broken apart, to allow a new form to emerge.
A family plot on the outskirts of Epanómi is where the project took root. The process begins with uprooting the wild plants that have claimed the ground. We then tend to them, cleaning them with care, and ultimately transform them into something entirely different, foreign to their original nature. From this act of unmaking and remaking, an archive was born. The exhibition stood on that soil, holding the record and the collection that grew from the earth itself.
