Pack-aging
2025
collection of packaging during 6 months of consuming
9cm X 42m
Group Exhibition at Frank Mohr Institute “Transition” / 3 Mar 2025 / Groningen
Pack-aging is an act of physical witness. Over six months, the invisible evidence of daily life, the wrappers, containers, and shells of consumption, was collected and saved. This archive, a 42-meter long timeline of personal and systemic excess, was then meticulously assembled by hand.
The work transforms into a vast, fragile scroll. This length of discarded material charts a journey through time, labor, and the quiet archaeology of the everyday. It embodies a direct engagement with the questions that drive it: What do we truly need? What do we leave behind? Can the very form of our waste hold a fragile, unseen beauty, demanding that we look?
