2024
pumpkin in various forms, visual effects, audio, metal frame
Project in collaboration with Kim van den Belt, Zrinka Grula and Tailun Hsieh. Collaboration between Frank Mohr Institute and the University of Groningen.
Most of the meetings, as long as the making of the dish were executed in the location of “DE PROEF” , https://deproef.org/
This work is an invitation to the invisible.
An edible narrative, it follows a pumpkin’s journey through its most vital partners: the silent microorganisms of fermentation. It is a deliberate shift from a human-centered view to one of collaborative making, where the ‘work’ is entrusted to ancient, unseen forces.
Our experimentation led to a mousse that balances taste, texture, and the quiet spectacle of growing cultures. The experience engages multiple senses to make tangible the profound, ecological conversations happening just beyond our sight.
