Residency organised by Luuk Schröder at an e-waste recycling center / 24 – 28 Mar 2025 / Apeldoorn
It began with a single, humble object: an aging potato, a soft planet brought from home. Inspired by a beautiful notion to capture the moment a thing is suspended between rising and falling. I threw it into the air. The camera traced its arc, a brief and tender orbit between ascent and decay.
Later, these images of delicate descent were placed outside the doors of the recycling center itself. There, within the stark, functional flow of discarded things, they formed a fleeting gallery, a quiet space where waste and wonder briefly held the same light.
